About
About Teton COunty Idaho Search and Rescue Foundation
At TCISARF, our mission is to support and enhance Search and Rescue (SAR) operations through education, funding, and community engagement. We are dedicated to ensuring that our TCISAR Operations Team has the resources, training, and equipment needed to respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies in our backcountry and wilderness areas.
Our Purpose
We recognize the vital role that Search and Rescue volunteers play in saving lives. Our foundation works to:
Fund critical SAR equipment and technology to improve response capabilities.
Provide preventative education to help outdoor enthusiasts stay safe and reduce the need for rescues.
Support SAR training and professional development to enhance operational efficiency.
Engage with the community to raise awareness about safety in outdoor recreation.
Why It Matters
The rugged and remote terrain of our region presents unique challenges for outdoor adventurers. When emergencies arise, SAR teams must be prepared to respond quickly, communicate effectively, and operate safely in demanding conditions. By equipping teams with advanced tools and knowledge, we help increase survival rates and minimize risks for both rescuers and those in distress.
Get Involved
We rely on grants, donations, and community support to fund our initiatives. Whether through a financial contribution, volunteer work, or attending our safety events, you can play a role in making the outdoors a safer place for all.
